As you can see, the 'parking lot' is FULL!
It is a very nice bowling alley. I think there were 10 working lanes and 2 that looked like they were being repaired.
This is Twan, he is one of two Bowling Alley Technicians. It was his night to do the repairs. He is a very sweet, smiley guy. He likes Louis a lot.
There is a league with the island residents. Almost everyone plays. It is quite loud; lots of cheering, music and laughter.
There are a crazy amount of bowling balls at the place. Seriously, the ratio of people to bowling balls on this island is like 3 - 1!! I can not understand why there are so many bowling balls. This is about half of the racks and then there is another rack AND each of the lanes ball holders are totally full. There are A LOT of bowling balls here. My new friend Suzanne (monk seal researcher) and I tried to come up with some other things to do with bowling balls; artificial reef, purses, tombstones, etc. I'm going to get a hold of one and write a letter to her and put it in her room -- bowl-a-gram!

ReplyDeleteGiven how large & heavy bowling balls are, whoever brings one to the island likely would not want to lug it back home? I have faith in you that you'll find some clever and novel use for them. I'll offer up some crazy idea for you as starters. Not knowing what the inside of a bowling ball might be like, how about cutting them in half and "scooping out" the inside...? - ttk
