Some of you have asked what will we do for the fourth? Well, I'll tell you what I've heard. First of all, the Federal employees have tomorrow off! Of course, Greg still has to work! He just has to check on the ducks at Eastern, Louis or I will go with him. So, with Greg having most of the day off, we'll probably get a snorkeling trip out on the reef in. (yeah!) Friday night there is a 5K running race out on the runway! Guess who is excited about that? The winner gets a can of Bud Lite! yippee! Saturday at 10:00 a.m. there is a Slow Bike race on the Cargo Pier. the last one to cross the finish line wins. You can not put your foot down or go in the opposite direction. Several people have their strategies! The winner gets a can of Miller Lite!

I've heard rumor of fireworks, but the refuge manager says it isn't true. I've heard there is to be steak and lobster for dinner in the club (rather than the clipper house) and the band will be playing. We have not had the pleasure of seeing/hearing the band play yet, but everyone talks about it as a true highlight of being on island. So, we're looking forward to that. Also, Saturday night is bowling night, maybe we'll get on some of that. Sunday should be a poker game; guess who's excited 'bout that?
