Cute Chick Tour

Yesterday, Louis decided he was going to take me on a Cute Chick Tour. He spends alot of time off the path; counting birds, pulling weeds, etc. so he sees more of the birds than I do.

He picked me up in our fancy golf cart (he'll make up any excuse to get to drive the golf cart!)

And off we went. . .

Our first stop

a tropic bird chick. He lives near the All Hands Club.

White Tern. (sometimes called a Fairy Tern - but we know this is not correct!)

He does not even look real!

My favorite. Found at the chapel, another white tern.

White tern.

This one is trying to scare us off.
Another White Tern.

these birds don't make a nest, they just plop out their egg right on the bare limb of a tree and there the chick must stay until it is ready to fly.

White Tern with an Albatross in the background.

this chick is perched in a knot of a Banion Tree.

Louis almost got these adult Terns to sit on his arm.

Thank you, Louis for the lovely tour.
