Again with the bowling balls.

So, I know I talked about the number of bowling balls there are on this island. But I failed to point out that while at the bowling alley, you can rest assured your belongings are safe. Behind the bowling balls (this is only a small amount of the balls that are actually here!) you can see a set of lockers.

Our friends Nidhi and Gail (Doc's sweet family) left us on Friday. Nidhi made us all these lovely bracelets! Thanks, Nidhi. We miss you both.

And with the arrival of the plane, 6 new folks have joined the island as well. Five of them are from the Mitsubishi Corporation. They are here for two weeks to help with the project that Mitsubishi helps fund. They are from all over. I will get more information on them and report back ASAP! So far, they are all lovely and most excited to help out and learn new things.

The other newcomer, Peter, is here to inspect the buildings for all kinds of hazards! What a job. Greg has been going with him into some of the abandoned buildings. In some of the buildings, it's clear people left in a hurry expecting to come back.

We had a fun game night at the Captain Brooks last night with all the new folks. Men vs Women in a game of Taboo - I'm sure you can guess who won.

Louis bowled a good game the other night; 125! (plenty of balls to choose from)

Sometimes the birds remind us of cats. . .

  1. Hi Pam,

Would you get a few pixs of the abandoned buildings? Didn't you or Greg say that you have a collection facility for gathering the rainfall? -ttk
